When you came before God in prayer you should:

Intercede (Ask)

“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”  (Matthew 7:11Matthew 7:11

Intercession is coming to God with your requests.  God delights in giving to His children.  The Lord says,  “Because you didn’t ask Me.”  We miss out on many, many blessings because we do not ask.  God should be the first Person we turn to when we have needs or problems.  The Bible says,  “Seek first the kingdom of God”  (Matthew 6:33Matthew 6:33
Spanish: Biblia Reina Valera - revisión de 1995 - RVR95

33 Buscad primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia,d y todas estas cosas os serán añadidas.e

God want to supply our needs, but we need to pray more.  PRAY! We do not have because we do not ask. (Matthew 21:22Matthew 21:22

You ask, does God always answer prayer?  Without hesitation I say, Yes!

Ah ha! But God didn’t answer my prayer.

To which I reply, “You are wrong!”  God always answers prayer.  But He does it in many ways.

He may answer with a:

You may not like it, but no is an answer.  God desires the very best for you, and He can see the whole picture.  At this very moment God sees the day you were born and the day you will die and every day in between.  If you ask Him something, He may say no because He can see the long-range effects of your request.

He may answer with a:

This means yes.  Good request; here is the answer.

He may answer with a:

Good request, bad timing.  You pray that God will heal someone, but nothing happens right away.  God may be saying that it’s a good request and He will heal the person.  However, because something needs to take place in his or her life or in the lives of others, it won’t happen for a while.

He may answer with a:

It’s a good request, but you’re not spiritually ready.  Sometimes we are asking for something that we are not ready for, We need to be spiritually mature before God can answer that prayer.  We need to grow in the Lord and then the Lord will give it to us.  Delays are not always God denials.  So be patient and wait in the Lord.

And sometime there are roadblocks to answered prayers.

A quote from Martin Luther:

I have so much to do today that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.
