Man of God please fulfill your role as a father, here are some principles:

Male headship as father and husband is part of God’s design. Deuteronomy 11:18-21

Dads have a vital role in bringing strength and stability to the home. The father is the priest of his family, as spiritual leader he should involve his family in teaching God’s Word and praying together.  Fathers are to take the responsibility for the spiritual leadership of the family according to the guidelines of the Word—praying, giving, loving, serving, caring and strong leadership. Fathers have the opportunity, as no one else, to be models in living color of both attitude and action of those things they seek to communicate.

Love your wife passionately. Ephesians 5:25

Because not many models of exemplary parents, young people today do not know what qualities to look for in a man, and the boys do not know how to treat a woman.  Daughters are going to look for young man to show the same level of commitment and respect that you reflect, and your children will treat their girlfriends and wives in the same way they see to treat your wife. Let your children see you share love and affection with their mother. They’re getting ready for one of the biggest races of life: marriage and a family, and the best preparation is to live with a father who loves his mother.

Be a man of integrity, otherwise your words will fall on deaf ears. Titus 2:7-8

As behaves behind closed doors, it’s like you are. If you sing in the choir on Sundays and yells at his wife all week, so talk about kindness and affection will count for nothing in the eyes of the children. When commits to do something with their children, do everything in its power to carry it out?

The importance of your children for you can be measured by the time spent with them.  Proverbs 22:6

No matter what we say, children know that we spend time with things and people that are most important to us. Remember this when you are deciding.Whatever your working program, it is the responsibility of dad to find time to be alone with their children.  Find out what interests each (each child has different tastes).

As a parent make your child feel how much it’s worth to you, which will serve them for the rest of theirlives. Proverbs 29:17

The way children perceive their value in the eyes of his father strongly influences their lives. A man leaves his mark on the lives of their children when he praises them for something well done, and inspires and encourages further effort. However, the opposite is also true.  Never insult their children with names that degrading or debase; coming from dad, these arrows can produce deep wounds. Refrain from any disruptive behavior in their presence.

Communicate as a family. Proverbs 4:2-4

A close family makes children feel safe. Share at least one meal a family where they can discuss the issues of the day. Spend one night a week together as a family (not watching TV). No need to spend much money, you can play together, taking a walk or going to the park. During the times shared with family, the hardest thing for parents is learning to listen.  Fathers love to give advice, but just listening to the children to learn what their hearts need.

Understand your responsibility. Psalms 78:5-8

Your responsibility as a parent is to be present, this is someone in your home that will survive and be a worthy representative of who you are. The pressure of dealing with one crisis after another and trying to make ends meet, we easily distracted to devote time to this mission. It’s not fair to the wives when father come home so tired of their jobs, friendships and social activities that do not have joy and energy for the children. If one of them was disciplined by his mother that day, a father should take the child apart and say, “I understand that you were disciplined by mom today, what was the problem? How will you react next time?”

Be realistic and admit your weaknesses.Ephesians 6:4

Pride makes parents fear that people will think they are weak, instead of being in control. However, our children do not need to see only our successes, they need to see that when we hurt others, we seek to restore, that when we are wrong in our decisions, we face the issue responsibly.

Discipline means to develop character, not to vent anger.Hebrews 12:5-8

Don’t discipline your child when you are angry, take time to calm down. Children need to know that discipline and love are not opposites. Discipline is not punishment, it can involve pain, but the purpose is correction and development. We want the children to know that when we take away privileges or should be punished, we don’t doit to torment them but that later in life they will not have behavior patterns that impair.

Do not overprotect, let the children learn the law that you reap what you sow.Galatians 6:7

Learning that “you reap what you sow” is very important to becoming adult. Fathers don’t want the child to do the right thing because he ordered it, but to reason itself why something can be a bad choice.  Unless the children suffer the consequences of their decisions, they will never be able to take proper and reasonable decisions for themselves.

Do not be afraid to show affection. John 3:35

Tender words and affection are important. Studies show that when children do not experience this affection, they seek ways to self-destruct.  Do not go a day without a father telling his children: “I love you”. Every day can be the last time we have the opportunity.

It takes a lot of energy to build the lives that God has entrusted the parents. Father need to do everything he can with the time for the kids to never have to look back and think, “If I had spent more time with them, or if I praised more, or if I had said how much I loved …”

Children be of great joy to your father…. Proverbs 10:1

I am accepted ….

I am God’s adopted child.   

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”John 1:12

I am a friend of Jesus.    

“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” John 15:15

I have been justified.                                                                                                                      

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” Romans 5:1

I am one with Him in spirit.                                                                                                             

 “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” 1 Corinthians 6:17

I belong to God.                                                                                                                                 

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

All my sins are forgiven.

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14

I am complete in Christ.

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” Colossians 2:9-10

I have direct access through Jesus Christ.   

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16

        Jonas es un Libro muy pequeno, pero muy constructivo para los cristianos de estos tiempos, que nos tratamos de escudar de la Voluntad de Dios para servirle. Sabemos que Jehova Dios ordeno a Jonas que fuera a salvar a Ninive de su maldad y Jonas se resistia, porque se resistia? Tenia miedo.  Jonás se levantó, pero no para hacer la voluntad de Dios, sino para huir de su presencia. Nínive era una ciudad grande en extreme, eran los peores enemigos de Israel.

          El Señor dijo a Jonás: “Levántate y ve a Nínive, aquella gran ciudad, y pregona contra ella; porque ha subido su maldad delante de mí” Jonas 1:2. Pero Jonás rechazó el llamamiento divino. En lugar de ir a Nínive fue a Tarsis. No fue al oriente sino al occidente. No fue por tierra, sino por mar. No fue a la gran ciudad, sino a una aldea muy pequeña. No es lo que nosotro queramos hacer sino la voluntad de Dios. Jonás trató de evadir la responsabilidad que Dios le estaba asignando y trató de esconderse del Señor. En su ceguera, Jonás habrá dicho: “¡Nínive! ¿Y si se convierten? ¡No, no, no! ¡Yo no puedo ir a Nínive”. Y se encontró además con una sorpresa: ¡un barco dispuesto para Tarsis! Un barco así no se hallaba cualquier día. Se demoraban seis u ocho meses en preparar una carga. ¡Pero ese día, el barco estaba ahí! Y no sólo el barco, sino también el dinero para pagar el barco.

         ¡Que terrible es que tengamos los recursos y estemos invirtiéndolos en otra cosa que no es la voluntad de Dios! ¡Qué terrible es que tengamos las posibilidades y estemos huyendo cada vez que Dios nos llama! Jonás pudo haber sentido en su corazón: “A lo mejor Dios se arrepintió. Puso un barco, puso dinero.”

          En Jonás 1:4 podemos notar algo: “Pero…” ¡Qué benditos son los peros de Dios. Cuando yo estoy cambiando su voluntad, cuando me estoy desviando, él dice: “Pero…” Dios tenía algo preparado para Jonás. Cuando él quiere algo contigo, tú no vas a ganar. ¡Gracias, Señor! ¡Gáname, Señor! Mi carne quiere huir… ¡Gáname tú; dale un pero a mi vida!

      “Pero Jehová hizo levantar un gran viento en el mar, y hubo en el mar una tempestad tan grande que se pensó que se partiría la nave. Y los marineros tuvieron miedo, y cada uno clamaba a su dios; y echaron en el mar los enseres que había en la nave, para descargarla de ellos. Pero Jonás había bajado al interior de la nave, y se había echado a dormir”. No mas no, No mas excusas!, ¡Dios te envía a ti, a cada uno de nosotros! ¿Quién es tu Nínive? ¿Que te envía a hacer el Señor? ¿Donde te envía el Señor?

          La Biblia dice que Jonás estaba sirviendo al Señor como profeta 2 Reyes 14:25. “Él restauró los límites de Israel desde la entrada de Hamat hasta el mar del Arabá, conforme a la palabra de Jehová Dios de Israel, la cual ÉL había hablado por su siervo Jonás, hijo de Amitai, profeta que fue de Gathefer”. Dios vio la necesidad de testificar a Nínive y llamó a quien está ocupado sirviéndole.  Así sucederá también con nosotros, Dios nos llama porque somos sus siervos; porque estamos en su lista de disponibles.

         La Biblia nos cuenta de Pablo y Bernabé cuando fueron llamados a hacer los viajes misioneros. Leemos en el libro de los Hechos 13: “Había entonces en la iglesia que estaba en Antioquía, profetas y maestros: Bernabé, Simón el que se llamaba Níger, Lucio de Cirene, Manaén el que se había criado junto con Herodes el tetrarca, y Saulo. Ministrando éstos al Señor, y ayunando, dijo el Espíritu Santo: Apartadme a Bernabé y a Saulo para la obra a que los he llamado”. Hechos 13:1-2. Podemos observer aquí que ellos ya estaban sirviendo al Señor como profetas y maestros, ya estaban ministrando, eran hombres de oración y ayuno. Por esto, Dios los llamó, porque eran siervos disponibles y listos para cumplir los propósitos de Dios.

         Tu parte, como siervo, es aceptar y obedecer el llamamiento de Dios. Si se quiere hacer la voluntad del Señor la única manera es por medio de una plena obediencia a sus mandatos. No podemos desentendernos de lo que Dios nos pide, no podemos segir poniendo excusas, no podemos decir no, ni siquiera podemos posponerlo.  Jonás trató de ponerse lejos de la presencia de Jehová. ¡Pero es imposible ocultarse del Dios Omnipresente! Y nos apresuramos a esgrimir pasajes bíblicos como: “¿A dónde me iré de tu Espíritu? ¿Y a dónde huiré de tu presencia? Si subiere a los cielos, allí estás tú; y si en el Seol hiciere mi estrado, he aquí, allí tú estás”  Salmos 139:7-8.

          Tarde o tempano Dios nos va a poner cara a cara y no vamos a poder poner excusas. Es hora que nos levantemos como un pueblo SERVIDOR que sin poner excusas de tiempo, nos decidamos a SERVIR y AGRADAR A DIOS. Veras que al decidirte a servir al Señor experimentaras de enormes bendiciones que están destinadas a aquellos que hacen su voluntad. FIRMES Y ADELANTE.

           Quiero que entiendas algo.. NO ERES CRISTIANO NADA MAS PORQUE SI!! No estás leyendo este mensaje nada más porque si!! Eres la persona exacta que Dios creó para desempeñar el ministerio que tienes, eres la persona exacta que Dios creó para predicar, para tocar en el grupo, para cantar, para enseñar, para trabajar con los niños, para liderear, para pastorear, para organizar eventos, etc. Quizá ahora me digas, que bonito se escucha… pero NO! Yo no puedo, tengo esto que no me deja y este otro y este otro, y aquel.. y ya me acorde de este otro… YO NO! No soy digno de que DIOS ME USE!  Óyeme! Si estas pensando eso… estás diciendo como Jeremías: ¡Ah!, Señor Jehová! He aquí, no sé hablar, porque soy niño.

          Pero déjame decirte algo! Mientras Jeremías, está muy ocupado de poner excusas, Dios en su conocimiento de TODO sabía la necesidad de que el pueblo fuera advertido. Y hoy, mientras tu estas muy ocupado diciendo no porque estoy muy chico, no porque me falta vivir, no porque tengo mucho que hacer, no porque no tengo tiempo, no porque mi escuela, no porque mi novia (o), no porque se van a burlar de mí, no porque qué dirán mis amigos, No, No, No, No…… Pero después del no, y de que Dios no le acepta su excusa a Jeremías, este nos cuenta: Jeremías 1:9 “Y extendió Jehová su mano y tocó mi boca, y me dijo Jehová: He aquí he puesto mis palabras en tu boca.  Mira que te he puesto en este día sobre naciones y sobre reinos, para arrancar y para destruir, para arruinar y para derribar, para edificar y para plantar.”

         Dios le responde a Jeremías que no es por su edad que lo llamo, o por sus capacidades humanas, sino simplemente porque lo habia escogido. El Senor lo toca en la boca, Jeremías necesitaria la bendicion de Dios para desempenar sus labores como profeta. Encontramos a otros profetas que fueron tocados como Isaias, Ezequiel y Daniel pero  Jeremías fue tocado para ser inspirado y darle autoridad.

                     Quiero decirte que la palabra de Dios para Jeremías en aquel tiempo también es para ti HOY, pero no limites a Dios, no pongas barreras o excusas para que EL no trabaje contigo, ERES TU EL INDICADO! Por eso cuando comienzas a imaginarte predicando o cantando o poniendo las manos sobre los enfermos y ellos sanando o a una congregación adorando a Dios… TU CORAZON SE EMOCIONA, PALPITA RAPIDO, por eso te suenas haciendo cosas GRANDES para Dios, porque aunque tú mismo no lo creas, eres quien Dios hoy levanta para arrancar y para destruir todo lo que el diablo le ha hecho creer a la gente, para arruinar y para derribar el plan de Satanás de arrastrar a la gente al mismo infierno,  para edificar murallas que protejan al pueblo de Dios y para plantar la palabra misma del Todopoderoso que es como espada de dos filos, la que no vuelve vacía sino surte un efecto vivificador en el corazón de quien la recibe.

             No temas porque EL estará ahí para librarte! No pongas más excusas! Fue ese Jeremías que le dijo NO a Dios, el que más adelante dijo: MAS JEHOVA ESTA CONMIGO COMO PODEROSO GIGANTE! LEVANTATE, TIENES IDENTIDAD CELESTIAL (Jeremías 20:11), Ninguna arma prosperara contra ti (Isaias 54:15), Mayor es el que está en TI,  que el que está en el mundo (1 Juan 4:4).  Mi oración es que los jóvenes brillemos mas que nunca, que esta generación irradie la mismísima Luz de Cristo y seamos como arboles que dan fruto a su tiempo y todo lo que hagamos prospere! (Salmos 1:3) Arriba! FIRMES Y ADELANTE.

               Jeremias 1:4 dice “Vino, pues, palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo: Antes que te formase en el vientre te conocí, y antes que nacieses te santifiqué, te di por profeta a las naciones. Y yo dije:  ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! He aquí, no sé hablar, porque soy niño. Y me dijo Jehová: No digas: Soy un niño; porque a todo lo que te envíe irás tú, y dirás todo lo que te mande. No temas delante de ellos, porque contigo estoy para librarte, dice Jehová. Y extendió Jehová su mano y tocó mi boca, y me dijo Jehová: He aquí he puesto mis palabras en tu boca.  Mira que te he puesto en este día sobre naciones y sobre reinos, para arrancar y para destruir, para arruinar y para derribar, para edificar y para plantar.”

              Este es un pasaje que nos relata el llamado de Jeremías. Aquel que daba voces de alerta. Aquel al que Dios le daba palabra tremenda para su pueblo. Jeremías está en el momento que quizá todo cristiano desea con todo el corazón, ese momento en el que DIOS MISMO hace el LLAMADO especifico a la vida… Jeremías dice: NO!  Quizá si eso te hubiera pasado a ti, hubieras brincado, o llorado, o darías vueltas o cantarías o gritarías, no lo sé, pero detrás del júbilo que TU hubieras mostrado ante tal asombro vemos a un Jeremías asustado que dice: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová! He aquí, no sé hablar, porque soy niño.

          Puedes creerlo? Le dijo NO  a Dios, y, por qué? Porque no sabía hablar y porque era un niño, es decir, Jeremías le puso a Dios una EXCUSA, Le dijo NO, y antes de que Dios le dijera.. Porque no Jeremías? Hábilmente el chico dice, no PORQUE SOY NIÑO. Quiero pensar que Jeremías quizá dijo, ya la hice! Se buscara a otro! YO NO!

         Jeremías 1:7 Pero Dios, le dice: “No digas: Soy un niño; porque a todo lo que te envíe irás tú, y dirás todo lo que te mande,” es decir, a Dios no se le puede poner excusa, sabes? Dios sabía perfectamente bien quien era Jeremías, desde antes de nacer incluso, Dios en su conocimiento total del presente, pasado y futuro conocía quien seria este chico, así como contigo, antes de que naciera Dios ya te conocía, sabia tu color de piel, de ojos, de cabello, sabia tus cualidades, tus defectos, tu carácter. Y cuando Dios llama a Jeremías, lo hace con todo el conocimiento, sabiendo que él, sería el hombre exacto para llevar ese mensaje, ASI COMO CONTIGO!

            Esta reflexión nos debe llevar a tomar en serio el llamado de Dios cuando nos convoca a cumplir una misión y a no dar excusas o a decir “no puedo”, porque si Él nos convoca a su selección para realizar una tarea es porque considera que somos de gran valor y sabe que tenemos las mejores condiciones para realizarla; además de que nos promete de que Él estará siempre con nosotros.
